I’m getting ready to turn up a new site of 100 H510 Access Points. We are also using ICX 7150 Switches and a RXG Gateway. Does anyone know when I add these Access Points to SmartZone will they automatically show up in the RXG?

I have a support ticket open with our vendor, but I’m hoping others have seen and resolved my issue.I’m deploying Mitel 69XX series phones to several new stacks of icx7150 switches (a mix of 48zp and 48pf). I’m using LLDP MED network policies to set the voice vlan and qos setting. This is working as expected on all standard GigabitEthernet ports (ie. all ports on the PF switches and N/1/17 to N/1/48 on the ZP switches). I’ve had this installed now for about a year without issue, but in the last few months it seems to have destabilized. The R510 seems to occasionally switch off and reboot, and the switch will occasionally lose all communications with the rest of the network, requiring a hard reboot of the switch to get it to start communicating again. The AP is running PoE, but I’ve checked the PoE allowance, and there is power to spare, so I’m not over-taxing the PoE allotment, and Spanning-tree is on so it should eliminate loop-backs. This is a sporadic problem, so it’s hard to trouble shoot (it rarely fails when I have bunches of free-time, usually when I need to leave in 5 minutes, and I’m already late), so what can I do to further find the source of this problem?

Hi guys,I need to configure a single trunk port with vlan 117 untagged and everything else tagged. In a Brocade VDX series for example, we have these commands below:switchport trunk allowed vlan add 117,139,366no switchport trunk tag native-vlanswitchport trunk native-vlan 117 <– We need this to replace global native VLAN Do you know if there is a way to do the same in ICX7150?I found “dual-mode” command but its deprecated in Version 08.0.92dT213.Thanks!

Does the R310 unleashed now support mesh networking? I saw a post here from 4 years ago saying no, but I saw the option in the unleashed setup so I’m a bit confused. I don’t want to purchase another R310 if it can’t mesh

Hi,I have a neatgear poe+ switch and a Ruckus R310. All is working fine and I wanted to check what the power should be for this unit to ensure its getting full power and best performance.Currently the switch is showing 3.5 Watts66 mA53.1 Volts.I’d read somewhere that sometimes leaving it to the switch doesn’t always get the best results.TIA

I am out of space on my Ruckus ICX 7150 that Lennar installed. What would I use to expand the number of ports on the switch? We pre-wired for a lot of ethernet stations and now that we have 4 people working / schooling from home, plus have all of our TVs wired in, we are out of space. No clue what to buy to give us 6 or so more ports…

We are receiving some Ruckus networking gear to replace our infrastructure. I am reaching out for any tips for a first-time-user of Ruckus networking gear. 🙂 And just for a bit of background, I am versed in Ansible/Chef/Puppet/SaltStack/Terraform, VLAN, trunks, PPPoE, etc mostly in the Unifi/EdgeMax world as well as some light Cisco tweaking (never originally setup Cisco though).2x ICX7150-C12 (will trunk the two together, sharing the configuration)5x Unleashed R3103x Unleashed T310cFirst set of questions/advice would be around Unleashed. From what I read, the first AP will act as the server for all other APs I add down the road. What about ICX7150 switches though? Are they able to be managed via the same Unleashed software/tools? What software/tools can I use to manage the entire site? E.g. ICX switches, R310 APs, VLANs, DHCP, L3 ports/tcp forwarding, etc. I’m well versed in the Unifi software that controls all of their devices. I’m wondering if there is the same for Ruckus.Any tips for first time user/setup? Any Dos and Donts? Is it as simple as power on, connect to some default WiFi, hit a webpage, and go? :)If there isn’t a unified tool/single pane of glass for the ICX7150 switches and R310/T310c APs, then I most likely will use Ansible to configure the ICX switches since there seems to be a Ruckus module released for them.The only restriction is that this is a non-profit school with little to no money. I may not be able to sell them on a support/licensing package.
