Flapping on Cisco switch in a Ruckus WiFi solution

Posted on 16 Nov, 2020, in Uncategorized

Hi
I have a wifi solution with ruckus, controller 1100 and 47 AP ?s. The ap ?s are disconnecting randomly because of some switch ?s ports are up and down constantly.
The wired network is ok and certified,
But there are many logs registered refers to flapping on the switch.
I have disabled the mesh option on the zonedirector. The processor load on the switch has been decreased after that. But the issue keeps alive.
Could it be related with the cisco switch arp table refresh time?
Is it necessary to get similir time of refresh
Or, What could be the problem?

ICX port blocking

Posted on 16 Nov, 2020, in Uncategorized

??I’ve got a 7750 as my core router and 1GB connections to 9 sites with 7450 routers.  7 of the connections work and 2 do not.  As far as I can tell, the configs are all the same (other than IP addresses) but all four of the ports show as down with port states Blocking.  STP is disabled on all four ports.  If I disable and then enable the ports, they go down immediately.  As far as I know, the AT&T links between the sites are all good.  Suggestions?

Data Retransmission in Brocade ICX6450-48 2 stacked switch

Posted on 16 Nov, 2020, in Uncategorized

Hi All,I have connected few PCs with 2xICX6450-48 switch in local envrionment.Assigned private IPs(like 169.254.3.1-50) in my PCs. Now i see retransmission in TCP connections of many PCs, i checked switch for any problem but could not see any errors in either ethernet interfaces or stack interfaces.netstat O/P snippet on PC 169.254.3.31:2018-10-02 03:08:10 tcp 0 38093 169.254.3.31:53098 169.254.3.32:13602 ESTABLISHED 601 1280802 4486/xxx on (0.28/1/0)2018-10-02 03:38:10 tcp 0 996 169.254.3.31:46332 169.254.3.49:12602 ESTABLISHED 601 1689988 5919/xxx on (0.34/1/0)Switch stacking settings:all stack ports are 10G. I have configured stack ports on both switch units in trunk mode (Trunk1: [1/2/1, 1/2/2], Trunk2: [1/2/3, 1/2/4]). Firmware:I am using firmware 08.0.30When i checked command output “show stack rel-ipc”, i see a field “Data retransmits done: <value>”. Is it says switch is doing restarnsmission for packets. How to minimize it.Output of few diagnostic command:1>show version  Copyright (c) 1996-2015 Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. I need to activate the 10G ports of the switch “ICX7150-C12-2X10GR”

Posted on 16 Nov, 2020, in Uncategorized

I have this 2x10GR template and it came with the “Current License: 2X1G”. I applied the command “license install perpetual 1 2x10gr” and brought this message below with expiration in 45 days.”The Ruckus FastIron End User License Agreement (EULA) terms and conditions found at https://www.ruckuswireless.com/icxfastironeula apply to your use of this software. The evaluation license period is 45 days after which you must purchase the license should you continue using the software. Please confirm that you have read and accept these terms and conditions (entry and or n): yBy selecting ‘and’ you have read and accepted the Ruckus End USER License Agreement at the following URL https://www.ruckuswireless.com/icxfastironeula”;#show licenseUnit License Name L3 Premium Port Speed ??Upgrade Ports MACsec1 2X10GR Yes Yes 10G 2 NAThe question is:1. Was this model “ICX7150-C12-2X10GR” already to come with the ports enabled?2. Or, do I need to buy this license to activate the 10G port?3. If this model “ICX7150-C12-2X10GR” already has the license, without buying, how to activate the 10G ports definitively without expiring.I need help

Upgrading ICX 7150’s to 8090c non-UFI and need to upgrade it to latest firmware. Need some guidance

Posted on 16 Nov, 2020, in Uncategorized

So I have two ICX 7150 C12P’s that were recently upgraded to 8090c (both primary and secondary) from 8070 and 8080 with the regular bin file, not the UFI. I’ve been advised to use the UFI file for this version and up. We needed them upgraded to work with Smartzone and I was unaware of needing the UFI file. We’ve also been advised to go ahead and upgrade it to 08091 as well. Can I upgrade straight to this latest version safely? And, if so, do I also need to use the UFI file when upgrading? (Will this work using the command ?copy tftp flash 192.x.x.x SPS08091ufi.bin primary??)FYI, I am new to networking and Ruckus, so I apologize for lack of knowledge in some areas.Sorry for the bombardment of questions, hopefully this makes sense. If I’m missing any info needed, let me know. Thanks!
