We have a
Brocade ICX7250 that will not stack. We atleast 40 sites with the same stack configuration. So this isn’t a new setup for us.When we do the ‘stack enable’ we receive the error: “stack port e 1/2/1 has
1g speed-duplex settings”. With stack cables
you don’t need the license for 10G
for stacking. Stacking cables are connected via the standard, 1/2/1 to 1/2/3 to the second switch, and vice-versa for the return to complete the stack circle.
Is this a known
issue with a fix for it?
Thanks. Steve.

I purchased a Lennar home last year and it came with an ICX7150 switch and 2 R510 AP’s running Unleashed with mesh configuration. Unfortunately, the house was built upon wireless connections only and I prefer to have atleast a few wired connections. However, I would like to avoid cutting into the drywall and so forth to un an additional line to the attic. My current setup is ISP (Internet)—–>Uverse router —–>ICX switch —–>Master AP and Member AP. Since the cable is already ran into the attic for the member AP, I would like to somehow use this cable to connect possibly a netgear unmanaged switch. Could I connect from the ICX 7150 to another netgear switch that has POE capabilities and reconnect that to my member AP (and then use the other available ports to run cables to each bedroom? I currently have been using the second line from my member Ap to connect a cheap netgear switch that has two CAT6 lines ran for my sons PS4 and my PC. I doubt I should have this connected as such but it’s been working so far. However, I would like to correct run everything but have a VERY limited budget and do not want to purchase another ICX switch.

I am looking to manage ports on my ICX 7150-C12 switch that is joined in Unleashed, running on an R320. I also have 2x r510s. The 200.9 documentation shows expanding “show port info” will show this interface:http://docs.ruckuswireless.com/unleashed/200.9/GUID-E40024A2-6964-45D4-AF03-5ACCB974B1C9-low.pngMy Unleashed web interface only shows the pie chart above. Is there an extra step to enable port management in Unleashed? Or do I need to do this via the switch’s Web GUI?

I’m Looking for guidance from Ruckus on earthing of their Acccess points, Indoor and outdoor. I’m trying to find out what ruckus have designed the earthing terminals for on there access points. Is it for fault current protection? Static discharge? Over current protection? Surge protection to work in conjunction with an SPD on the Ethernet connection? Or possibly all the above? Is there any concerns for potential earth leakage (transient voltages from latent defects other electrical circuits) to cause potential faults to the antenna or internal circuitry. Look for any potential guidance possible.
