The 1U, single-socket PowerEdge R360 is an entry-level rack server for customers desiring versatility, affordability, and processing power. It is Dell’s 1U one-socket server for the jobs that do not need a two-socket box: Intel Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6 Performance-core processors, DDR5 ECC memory, up to eight 2.5-inch drives with PERC hardware RAID, and iDRAC9 remote management, in a 1U chassis that fits a branch office rack as easily as a data center row.
Buying: IO South sources the PowerEdge R360 new and refurbished, configured to your spec, with a warranty on refurbished units. Selling: we also buy R360 servers from businesses consolidating or changing direction. Request a quote, or get an offer on the servers you have.

Specifications above are Dell published figures for the R360 platform; exact options depend on the configuration ordered.
Domain controllers, file and print, backup targets, point-of-sale and branch office servers, small virtualization hosts and edge workloads where one socket and a handful of drives are enough. The 3.5-inch chassis suits capacity, the 2.5-inch chassis suits SSD-heavy builds, and the hybrid layout adds two NVMe bays for a fast tier. The optional NVIDIA A2 makes it a low-power inference or video analytics node.
The R260 sits below the R360 as the smallest one-socket rack server in the line. The R470 and R570 sit above it with Intel Xeon 6 for high core counts and PCIe Gen 5. The T360 is the tower version of the same one-socket platform for sites without a rack. The R360 is the middle: 1U, Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6 P-series, hardware RAID and dual power supplies at entry-server cost.
We hold and source real inventory rather than brokering, configure to your spec, and warranty refurbished units. Because we also buy hardware back, the R340, R240 or T140 you are replacing can fund part of the refresh, and many customers run the upgrade and the buyback as one conversation. Call 855-272-5044 or email info@iosouth.com, or browse all Dell PowerEdge servers.
It depends on the configuration: which Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6 processor, how much DDR5, whether the drive bays are 3.5-inch, 2.5-inch or the NVMe hybrid layout, and which PERC controller move the number more than anything else. Send us the config you need, or the one you have, and we quote it the same business day, new or refurbished.
Both are 1U one-socket PowerEdge rack servers. The R360 runs the Intel Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6 P-series parts with up to 12 cores and four or eight drive bays, for file, print, domain, small virtualization and branch workloads. The R470 is the 17th generation one-socket server with Intel Xeon 6 for far higher core counts, more memory and PCIe Gen 5. Pick the R360 for an entry server at the lowest power and licensing cost, the R470 when a single socket has to do two-socket work.
Yes. IO South buys R360 and other current-generation PowerEdge servers from businesses consolidating, moving to the cloud or changing direction, single units or whole racks. Call 855-272-5044 or email info@iosouth.com with the config and quantity and we come back with an offer.
Yes. Processor, memory, drives, PERC controller, network cards, GPU and power supplies are all configurable. Send the spec or the workload and we build the quote around it, new or refurbished with a warranty on refurbished units.
