Dell PowerEdge R750 Rack Server

instock

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is Dell’s mainstream two-socket 2U server from the 15th generation: two 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, 32 DDR4 slots, PCIe Gen 4 and up to 24 front-loading drives with NVMe. It is the box most data centers standardized on for virtualization, databases, VDI and analytics, and the one that comes off lease in volume, which is why it is the refurbished server buyers ask for most.

Buying: IO South stocks and sources the PowerEdge R750 new and refurbished, configured to your spec, with a warranty on refurbished units. Selling: we also buy R750 servers from businesses upgrading or decommissioning. Request a quote, or get an offer on the servers you have.

What the PowerEdge R750 is used for

General-purpose compute that has to be dense and dependable: VMware and Hyper-V clusters, SQL and Oracle databases, VDI farms, analytics and ERP. With PCIe Gen 4 and NVMe across the front bays it also handles storage-heavy work, and with two double-wide accelerators it covers inference and mid-size GPU jobs without stepping up to a dedicated AI chassis. Teams standardized on PowerEdge run it as the workhorse tier under their R760 and XE-class systems.

R750 or R740 or R760?

The R740 is the previous generation: 2nd Gen Xeon, PCIe Gen 3, the lowest price on the secondary market. The R750 adds 3rd Gen Xeon, PCIe Gen 4 and more NVMe, at a refurbished price that has come down as fleets refresh. The R760 is current: 4th Gen Xeon, DDR5 and PCIe Gen 5, priced accordingly. If you are buying refurbished today, the R750 is usually the best performance for the money; if you are selling, the R750 is the generation with the most demand right now.

Why buy the PowerEdge R750 from IO South

We hold and source real inventory rather than brokering, configure to your spec, and warranty refurbished units. Because we also buy hardware back, your R740 or R730 fleet can fund part of the R750 refresh, and many customers run the upgrade and the buyback as one conversation. Dell PowerEdge R750 frequently asked questions

How much does a Dell PowerEdge R750 cost?

It depends on the configuration: processor pair, memory, drive count and NVMe versus SAS move the number more than anything else. Send us the config you need, or the one you have, and we quote it the same business day. Refurbished and off-lease units run well below Dell list.

What is the difference between the R750 and the R740?

The R750 is one generation newer: 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable instead of 2nd Gen, PCIe Gen 4 instead of Gen 3, more NVMe drive slots and faster DDR4 memory. For most virtualization and database work the R750 is the current refurbished sweet spot; the R740 is the value option when the budget matters more than the extra headroom.

Do you buy used PowerEdge R750 servers?

Yes. IO South buys R750 and other 15th generation PowerEdge servers from businesses upgrading or decommissioning, single units or whole racks. Call 855-272-5044 or email info@iosouth.com with the config and quantity and we come back with an offer.

Can you configure the R750 to my spec?

Yes. Processors, memory, drives, RAID controller, network cards and GPUs are all configurable. Send the spec or the workload and we build the quote around it, new or refurbished with a warranty on refurbished units.
