IO South buys used and surplus Fortinet security and networking hardware from businesses across the United States and worldwide: FortiGate firewalls from the desktop 40F to the data center 3000F series, FortiSwitch access and aggregation switches, FortiAP wireless access points, FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager appliances, and the transceivers, power supplies and rack kits that come out with them. IO South sells Fortinet every day, so a used FortiGate has a real resale value here, and we price against it.
FortiGate firewalls, every tier.
FortiSwitch. The 1xx series access switches including the rugged 112D, the 2xx and 4xx series PoE access switches such as the 248D and 448D, and the 1xxx and 3xxx series aggregation and data center switches such as the 1048E and 3032D and 3032E.
FortiAP. Indoor access points such as the 221E, 223E, 231F, 321E and 431F and 432F, outdoor and ceiling models, and the C series. Managed through FortiGate or FortiLAN Cloud, they resell to shops that already run Fortinet wireless.
Management and analytics appliances. FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager hardware appliances such as the 150G and 200G and the larger 400 and 1000 series, FortiMail appliances, and FortiExtender LTE and 5G gateways.
Everything around them. Fortinet and compatible SFP and SFP+ transceivers, redundant power supplies, PoE injectors, rack ears and rail kits. List them. Complete units with their accessories resell faster.
If you are also clearing Cisco, HPE Aruba or Ruckus gear from the same refresh, see sell used Cisco networking equipment and sell used HPE Aruba switches, or put it all on one list and we quote it together.
Fortinet hardware is often sold with a FortiCare support contract and FortiGuard security subscriptions attached to the serial number. We buy units with active contracts and units whose contracts have expired. An active contract can make a unit more attractive to the next owner, so tell us the status and the end date if you know it, but the offer is driven first by the model, the condition and what is included.
Before handoff, deregister the serial numbers from your FortiCloud or FortiCare account so the next owner can register them. We factory reset every unit and wipe stored configurations, logs and key material before resale. We do not promise that any license or subscription transfers with the hardware; subscriptions are between the next owner and Fortinet.
Fortinet is one of the most widely deployed firewall platforms in the world, and the organizations that run it tend to standardize across every site. When one of them opens a new branch, replaces a failed unit or needs a spare on the shelf, a tested used FortiGate that matches the rest of the estate is what they look for first. The same is true for FortiSwitch and FortiAP, which are usually bought to be managed from the same FortiGate. That demand is why a refresh from the E series to the F series, or from F series to the newest generation, leaves hardware with real value behind.
Buyers also look for TAA compliant Fortinet units and for specific models that fit an existing deployment, so an exact model list is worth more to us than a count of boxes.
A firewall refresh touches every site. The sequence that works: finish the cutover, deregister the retired serial numbers, box each unit with its power supply and transceivers, and send us the list by site. We can consolidate to one location you choose or arrange pickups from several sites, label everything by origin, and keep the record you need for your asset register. For units that handled sensitive traffic, we document the factory reset, or return the units to you if that is what your policy requires.
Corporate offices, branch networks, schools and universities, hospitals, data centers, colocation facilities and managed service providers across the United States, and overseas sites that are refreshing to newer platforms. A multi-site network refresh is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, label and palletize on site, arrange freight, and keep a record of what left each building. IO South has offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio.
IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells Fortinet, Cisco, HPE Aruba and Ruckus networking and security equipment every day, alongside servers and data center GPUs. We know what a used FortiGate 200F or a FortiSwitch 248D resells for this week because we are selling them, which lets us make a real offer quickly and stand behind it. One contact, one offer, one pickup, and the logistics are ours.

Yes. One FortiGate is a normal purchase, and so is a full branch rollout coming back after a refresh. Quantity affects the offer, not whether we make one.
Yes. We buy Fortinet hardware with or without active support. An active contract can matter to the next owner, so tell us the status and the end date if you know it, but it does not decide whether we make an offer.
Please do. Deregistering the serial numbers from your FortiCloud or FortiCare account before handoff lets the next owner register them cleanly. We factory reset every unit either way, and we cannot promise that any license or subscription transfers.
Yes. Tell us the sites and rough counts. We can consolidate to one location you choose or arrange pickups from several sites, label by site, and keep a record of what left each building.
