Sell Used Gigabyte G593, G493 and G293 GPU Servers to IO South

IO South buys used and surplus Gigabyte GPU servers from businesses across the United States and worldwide: the 8-GPU G593 HGX H100 and H200 systems in Intel and AMD versions, the G493 and G293 PCIe GPU servers, loose HGX baseboards pulled from them, and the host systems with the GPUs removed. Gigabyte is one of the largest builders of HGX systems for cloud providers and AI startups, so these chassis come to market in volume, and we price against that market.

How selling your Gigabyte GPU servers to IO South works

  • Send your list. Exact model and GPU configuration (G593, G493 or G293, H100, H200, PCIe or MI300), quantity, condition, and where the hardware sits: your data center, a colocation facility, or storage. Call 855-272-5044 or email info@iosouth.com.
  • A fair-market offer at no cost, usually within one business day. We buy and resell GPU servers every week, so the offer is priced against real resale value, not a formula.
  • One offer, one pickup. A single server, a rack, or a decommissioned cluster is the same conversation.
  • We handle logistics. We send a rep to palletize and wrap, arrange freight pickup, and pay for shipping. Evaluation, logistics, freight and payment are handled in house.
  • Your data stays yours. Drives are wiped or destroyed before anything is resold, or returned to you if your policy requires it.
  • United States and worldwide. We buy from businesses across the US and from data centers overseas.

Gigabyte GPU servers we buy

  • G593-SD0 and G593-SD1: 5U, dual Intel Xeon Scalable processors, eight NVIDIA H100 or H200 SXM5 GPUs on an HGX baseboard, air cooled.
  • G593-ZD1 and G593-ZD2: 5U, dual AMD EPYC processors, eight NVIDIA H100 or H200 SXM5 GPUs on an HGX baseboard, air cooled.
  • G493 series: 4U PCIe GPU servers with up to eight double-wide cards, such as the NVIDIA H100 PCIe, H100 NVL or L40S, in Intel and AMD versions.
  • G293 series: 2U PCIe GPU servers with up to eight single-wide cards, built for inference density.
  • G383 series: the AMD Instinct MI300A systems.
  • Other Gigabyte G-series GPU platforms and earlier HGX A100 systems.
  • Loose HGX baseboards and SXM modules pulled from any of the above, host systems with the GPUs removed, and mixed lots with the switches, storage and racks from the same decommission.

If your exact sub-model is not in this list, send it anyway. Gigabyte ships many configurations of the same platform under different suffixes, and the GPU count, form factor and CPU generation tell us what we need.

What to send for a quote

  • The exact model number and how many systems.
  • GPU count and form factor (SXM HGX baseboard or PCIe cards), and whether the GPUs are still installed.
  • CPU, memory and storage configuration, as shipped or as it runs today.
  • Condition, and approximate hours or in-service date if you know them.
  • Whether the systems are still racked and powered, and the location, including any colocation facility.
  • Photos of the front, rear and service tags, and an nvidia-smi or diagnostics export if you can pull one.
  • Before handoff: reset BMC and IPMI passwords and any BIOS passwords so the systems can be tested on arrival.

Loose HGX baseboards vs complete systems

Complete, working systems resell fastest. A G593 that powers on with all eight GPUs recognized can go to the next owner as is, which is why a full system usually earns a stronger offer than the same parts sold separately. Loose HGX baseboards and individual SXM modules still sell, but they need a compatible host on the other side, so the buyer pool is narrower. If you can leave the systems intact until pickup, do. If the GPUs have already been pulled, tell us what is loose and what is still in a chassis, and we quote both.

Why used Gigabyte GPU servers still move

Gigabyte systems went into a lot of the GPU cloud capacity built in 2023 and 2024, especially at providers that bought on price and lead time rather than on a single enterprise vendor. That installed base is now the supply side of the used market, and the demand side is the same kind of buyer: a team that needs working H100 capacity in a standard rack without waiting on newer systems. Each new NVIDIA generation moves the used market for the one before it, so a complete, tested H100 system is worth more to a buyer now than the same system will be after the next refresh wave. If a refresh is already decided, get the list to us while the systems are still racked and powered.

Sellers sometimes assume a non-tier-one chassis is worth less. The GPUs are the value, and an HGX H100 baseboard is the same part regardless of who built the host around it. What matters is that the system is complete, tested and documented.

PCIe GPU servers: the G493 and G293

The G493 and G293 are the Gigabyte workhorses for inference, rendering and fine tuning on PCIe cards. They resell well because the cards can be sold with the host or on their own. Tell us whether the cards stay in the system. We buy it either way, and we buy the loose PCIe cards too. See sell used NVIDIA L40S GPUs for the card side.

Where we buy

Data centers, colocation facilities, research labs and offices across the United States, and overseas sites that are refreshing to newer systems. A decommission is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, label and palletize on site, arrange freight, and keep a record of what left the building. IO South has offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Why sell your Gigabyte GPU servers to IO South

IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells servers, networking equipment and data center GPUs every day. We know what a used G593 resells for this week because we are in that market, which lets us make a real offer quickly and stand behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you buy a single Gigabyte G593?

Yes. One G593 is a normal purchase, and so is a full cluster. Quantity affects the offer, not whether we make one.

My Gigabyte GPU servers are in a colocation facility. Can you still buy them?

Yes. Tell us the site and whether the systems are still racked and powered. We coordinate the pickup with the facility, send a rep to palletize and wrap, and arrange the freight.

Do you buy Gigabyte GPU servers from outside the United States?

Yes. IO South buys from businesses across the United States and from data centers worldwide. Gigabyte systems are common in overseas data centers and cloud providers, and we buy them there too. Send the location with your list.

The drives were already pulled. Does that matter?

No. Tell us the systems ship diskless and the offer reflects that. If the drives are still installed, we wipe or destroy them before resale, or return them to you.

Do you buy the Intel and the AMD versions of the G593?

Yes. The G593-SD series runs dual Intel Xeon processors and the G593-ZD series runs dual AMD EPYC processors. Both carry eight NVIDIA SXM5 GPUs on an HGX baseboard, so the GPU value is the same and the host platform mostly decides which buyer takes it.

How fast do I get an offer?

Usually within one business day of receiving your list. Exact model numbers, GPU counts and photos make it faster.

Will you buy the host system without the GPUs?

Yes. A G593 chassis with the HGX baseboard removed still has a buyer, and so does a loose HGX H100 or H200 baseboard. Tell us exactly what is included and the offer covers that configuration.

Do you buy Gigabyte servers with AMD Instinct accelerators?

Yes. Send the exact model and accelerator configuration, including the G383 MI300A systems, and the offer is priced for it. See sell used NVIDIA GPUs and GPU servers for the full list of what we buy.
