Selling Used NVIDIA GPUs and Servers from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea or Australia to a US Buyer

IO South is a US enterprise hardware reseller with offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio. We buy used NVIDIA data center GPUs, including the H100, H200, A100 and L40S, and the GPU servers they run in, from DGX and HGX systems to Supermicro, Dell, HPE and Gigabyte platforms, from data centers, cloud providers and enterprises in Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. We import that hardware to the United States for resale. If you are refreshing a cluster or closing a site in the region, this page explains how a sale to a US buyer works and what to send.

How selling your GPUs and servers to IO South works

  • Send your list. GPU model and form factor, server model, quantity, condition, and where the hardware sits: your own data center, a colocation facility, or storage. Email info@iosouth.com or call 855-272-5044 during US Eastern business hours. Email sent during your working day gets a reply the next US business morning.
  • A fair-market offer at no cost, usually within one business day. We buy and resell GPU hardware every week in the United States, so the offer is priced against real resale value, not a formula.
  • One offer, one pickup. A single server, a rack, or a decommissioned cluster is the same conversation, and a mixed list gets one consolidated offer.
  • Freight and import handled by IO South. Once the pickup is agreed we arrange the export packing, the freight and the US import. You prepare the hardware for handoff and we take it from there.
  • Your data stays yours. Drives are wiped or destroyed before anything is resold, or returned to you if your policy requires it.
  • A US buyer, start to finish. The offer, the paperwork and the payment come from IO South in the United States.

How an international sale to IO South works

  1. You send the list. Models, quantities, condition and location, by email or phone.
  2. You send a configuration export and photos. An nvidia-smi or diagnostics export, BMC inventory or service tag photos let us price exactly what you have.
  3. We send a written offer. Usually within one business day. It states what is included, how the hardware will be collected and how you are paid.
  4. We agree the pickup. Date, site contact, de-rack plan and whether the facility needs an escort or a removal ticket.
  5. Freight and import happen on our side. IO South arranges the export packing, the carrier and the US import under US rules.
  6. Inspection and payment. The hardware is received and tested against your list at our US facility, and payment is released as set out in the offer you accepted.

What to send

  • The exact GPU SKU or server model number and how many of each.
  • The host systems the GPUs are in, or a note that they are loose modules or cards.
  • Condition, and approximate hours or in-service date if you know them.
  • Whether the systems are still racked and powered, and the site and country, including any colocation facility.
  • Photos of the front, rear and service tags.
  • An nvidia-smi or diagnostics export if you can pull one.
  • Before handoff: reset BMC and IPMI passwords and any BIOS passwords so the systems can be tested on arrival.

Export controls and compliance

IO South is the buyer and the importer on this page. We purchase used data center GPUs and servers from sellers in Asia-Pacific and bring them into the United States under US import rules, and we do not export advanced data center GPUs to restricted destinations. When IO South later resells controlled NVIDIA data center GPUs, those sales are subject to US export regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations. We screen buyers and destinations before any controlled GPU leaves our hands, and we do not ship controlled GPUs to China, Hong Kong or Macau, or to parties on US restricted lists. We also ask every seller to confirm that the hardware is theirs to sell, that it is free of liens, lease obligations or other claims, and to tell us if it was supplied under terms that limit resale. None of this is legal advice. If your organization has its own export or disposal review, send us that contact and we will work directly with them.

Why sellers in Asia-Pacific work with a US buyer

Much of the demand for used H100 and A100 capacity sits with United States buyers who want tested hardware that drops into a standard rack, and IO South resells into that market every week. That is what lets us make one offer for a whole decommission, including the servers, switches and storage that a GPU-only buyer would leave behind, and stand behind it. Sellers in the region also want a written offer their finance team can act on and a buyer who handles the freight and the import. Both are standard in how we work. If a refresh is already decided, send the list while the systems are still racked and powered.

Where we buy

Data centers, colocation facilities, cloud and hosting providers, research labs and enterprise sites across Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. A decommission is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, palletize on site, arrange the freight and keep a record of what left the building.

Why sell to IO South

IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells servers, networking equipment and data center GPUs every day, so a real offer comes quickly and we keep it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you buy used GPUs and servers from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Australia?

Yes. IO South buys used NVIDIA data center GPUs and GPU servers from data centers, cloud providers and enterprises in those countries and across the wider Asia-Pacific region, and imports them to the United States. Send the list, the country and the site type, and the reply covers the whole process.

Who handles the freight and the import into the United States?

IO South does. Once the offer is accepted and the pickup is agreed, we arrange the export packing, the freight and the US import on our side. You prepare the hardware for handoff at your site and we take it from there.

Do I need to be the original owner of the hardware?

You need to be the party with the right to sell it. Original owners, lessors at end of lease, liquidators and authorized agents all sell to us. We ask every seller to confirm the hardware is theirs to sell and free of liens or lease obligations, and we may ask for a short written confirmation of that before pickup.

Can you buy hardware that is still racked in a colocation facility overseas?

Yes. Tell us the facility, the city and whether the systems are still powered. We coordinate the pickup with the facility and plan the de-rack, labeling and palletizing so the hardware leaves in testable condition.

How and in what currency are we paid?

By wire transfer to the selling company, with the amount, the currency and the timing set out in the written offer you accept.

How fast will you reply to my list?

Usually within one business day, on US Eastern time. A list sent during your business day in Taiwan, Singapore or Japan is normally answered the next US business morning.

Do you sell GPUs internationally?

This page is for buying. Any IO South sale outside the United States is screened under US export regulations before it happens, and controlled data center GPUs are not shipped to China, Hong Kong, Macau or to parties on US restricted lists. If you are a seller, none of that affects you: we buy your hardware and import it to the United States.

What if some of the units are faulty or missing parts?

Tell us. Units that do not pass POST, show GPU errors or ship without heatsinks, cables or drives still have value, and the offer is priced for exactly what you describe. An accurate list keeps the inspection and the payment moving.
