IO South buys used and surplus HPE GPU servers from businesses across the United States and worldwide: the 8-GPU HPE Cray XD670, the PCIe-based ProLiant DL380a Gen11, the Grace Hopper based ProLiant DL384 Gen12, the earlier Apollo 6500 Gen10 Plus, loose HGX baseboards pulled from them, and the host systems with the GPUs removed. HPE shops that run ProLiant everywhere tend to buy ProLiant and Cray for their GPU nodes too, so there is a real resale market for these systems, and we price against it.
If you are selling standard ProLiant rack servers rather than GPU nodes, see sell used HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers, or put everything in one list and we quote it together.
Complete, working systems resell fastest. An XD670 that powers on with all eight GPUs recognized can go to the next owner as is, which is why a full system usually earns a stronger offer than the same parts sold separately. Loose HGX baseboards and individual SXM modules still sell, but they need a compatible host on the other side, so the buyer pool is narrower. If you can leave the systems intact until pickup, do. If the GPUs have already been pulled, tell us what is loose and what is still in a chassis, and we quote both.
Not every GPU node is an HGX system. A large share of the enterprise AI fleet is PCIe based: a DL380a Gen11 with four H100 NVL or L40S cards doing inference, fine tuning, rendering or VDI. These systems resell well because they fit standard racks, standard power and standard support contracts, and the cards can be sold with the host or on their own. Tell us whether the cards stay in the system. We buy it either way, and we buy loose PCIe cards too. See sell used NVIDIA L40S GPUs for the card side.
HPE sells into enterprises, universities, national labs and government, and those buyers tend to standardize on one vendor. When one of them adds AI capacity on a budget, a working used XD670 or DL380a that matches the rest of the estate is what they look for first. Each new NVIDIA generation moves the used market for the one before it, so a complete, tested H100 system is worth more to a buyer now than the same system will be after the next refresh wave. If a refresh is already decided, get the list to us while the systems are still racked and powered.
Sellers also ask whether an HPE system with an active support contract is worth more. It can help a buyer, so mention it, along with the warranty end date if you have it. Either way the offer is driven by the GPU configuration and condition.
Data centers, colocation facilities, research labs and offices across the United States, and overseas sites that are refreshing to newer systems. A decommission is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, label and palletize on site, arrange freight, and keep a record of what left the building. IO South has offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio.
IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells HPE ProLiant servers, networking equipment and data center GPUs every day. We know what a used XD670 or DL380a Gen11 resells for this week because we are selling them, which lets us make a real offer quickly and stand behind it.

Yes. One XD670 is a normal purchase, and so is a full row of them. Quantity affects the offer, not whether we make one.
Yes. Tell us the site and whether the systems are still racked and powered. We coordinate the pickup with the facility, send a rep to palletize and wrap, and arrange the freight.
Yes. IO South buys from businesses across the United States and from data centers worldwide. Send the location with your list and we include the freight and import handling in the plan.
No. Tell us the systems ship diskless and the offer reflects that. If the drives are still installed, we wipe or destroy them before resale, or return them to you.
Yes. The Apollo 6500 Gen10 Plus is the earlier HPE 8-GPU platform, usually with A100 GPUs, and it still has buyers. Send the GPU configuration with the list. See sell used NVIDIA A100 GPUs for the GPU side.
Usually within one business day of receiving your list. Exact model numbers, GPU counts and photos make it faster.
Yes. An XD670 chassis with the HGX baseboard removed still has a buyer, and so does a loose HGX H100 or H200 baseboard. Tell us exactly what is included and the offer covers that configuration.
Yes. IO South sells tested used and new HPE ProLiant servers. Browse the HP ProLiant category for current stock, or ask about GPU configurations by email.
