Sell Used Ruckus ICX 7150, 7450 and 7550 Switches to IO South

IO South buys used Ruckus ICX switches from schools, hospitals, offices and campuses across the United States and worldwide: the ICX 7150 access switches, the ICX 7250 and ICX 7450 with their 10 gigabit uplinks, the ICX 7550 and 7650 multigigabit switches, and the ICX 7750 and 7850 aggregation and core switches. We are the buyer, not a broker. We stock more than two hundred Ruckus products at any time, so we know what an ICX 7450-48P or a stack of 7150-48PF units is worth this week and can make a real offer quickly.

How selling your Ruckus ICX switches to IO South works

  • Send your list. Exact model from the label (for example ICX7450-48P or ICX7150-48PF-2X10G), PoE or non-PoE, uplink modules installed, quantity, condition, and where the hardware sits: your data center, a colocation facility, an office, a school or storage. Call 855-272-5044 or email info@iosouth.com.
  • A fair-market offer at no cost, usually within one business day. We buy and resell Ruckus ICX switches every week, so the offer is priced against real resale value, not a depreciation table.
  • One offer, one pickup. A single unit, a closet, or a full site refresh is the same conversation.
  • We handle logistics. We send a rep to palletize and wrap, arrange freight pickup, and pay for shipping. Evaluation, logistics, freight and payment are handled in house.
  • Your configuration stays yours. Every unit is factory reset before resale, and drives in any server are wiped or destroyed, or returned to you if your policy requires it.
  • United States and worldwide. We buy from businesses across the US and from sites overseas.

Ruckus ICX switches we buy

  • ICX 7150: the access layer workhorse. 24 and 48 port models with and without PoE (the 24P, 48P and 48PF variants), the 1 and 10 gigabit uplink versions (2X10G and 4X1G), and the compact ICX 7150-C08 and C12 for small offices and classrooms. Stackable in groups, which is how they usually reach us.
  • ICX 7250: the previous access generation with 10 gigabit uplinks, still common in schools and still in demand.
  • ICX 7450: the 24 and 48 port access and aggregation switch with modular uplink slots (10 and 40 gigabit modules), PoE and PoE+ models, and the ICX 7450-48F fiber version. The 7450 is the single most searched Ruckus switch on our site and one of the easiest to resell.
  • ICX 7550: multigigabit access with 2.5 gigabit ports for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E access points, 90 watt PoE, and 40 or 100 gigabit uplinks.
  • ICX 7650: multigigabit and 10 gigabit access and aggregation.
  • ICX 7750 and ICX 7850: 10, 40 and 100 gigabit aggregation and core switches, including the 7750-26Q and 7750-48C and the 7850-48F and 7850-32Q.
  • ICX 6450 and 6610: older generations, case by case. Tell us the models and we say plainly which have a resale offer.
  • Modules and accessories: 10 and 40 gigabit uplink modules, stacking cables, optics, power supplies and fan modules.

Sell ICX 7450-48P, 7150-48PF and the other common models

A few model numbers make up most of what we buy. The ICX 7450-48P and 7450-48F, the ICX 7150-48PF with 2X10G or 4X1G uplinks, the ICX 7250-48P, and the ICX 7150-24P. If your closet has any of those, you have something with a ready buyer. Send the full model string from the label, because the suffix tells us the port count, PoE class and uplink speed, and those decide the offer.

Stacks, uplink modules and power supplies

Ruckus stacks resell well when they come with their stacking cables and uplink modules, and a 7450 or 7550 with both power supplies installed is worth more than the same switch with one. Leave the modules in the chassis until our rep arrives, or bag them per switch. Spare optics and modules on a shelf count too, so include them in the list.

Schools, hospitals and campuses

Ruckus ICX is one of the most common switch families in K-12 and higher education, healthcare and local government, and that is where most of the switches we buy come from: a wireless refresh that brings new multigigabit switches, a building closing, or a consolidation to a new campus core. We buy one closet or the whole district. If the refresh also retires Ruckus access points and controllers, see sell used Ruckus wireless access points and put everything on one list.

What to send for an ICX quote

  • Full model number from the label for each switch, and how many of each.
  • Uplink modules and optics installed, stacking cables, and the number of power supplies per unit.
  • Condition, and whether the switches are still installed and powered.
  • Location, including any colocation facility or school site, and the earliest pickup date.
  • Photos of the front and rear of a few units, or an inventory export from your management platform.

Where we buy

Schools and universities, hospitals, offices and campuses that are refreshing to newer switches, closing a building, or consolidating sites. IO South has offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio, and buys from the United States and worldwide. A refresh is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, label and palletize on site, arrange freight, and keep a record of what left the building.

Why sell your Ruckus ICX switches to IO South

IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells Ruckus switching and wireless, Cisco, Aruba and Fortinet networking, and HPE, Dell and Supermicro servers every day. We carry one of the deepest Ruckus inventories of any reseller, so we can tell you what an ICX 7450 or a 7850 core switch is worth right now and stand behind the number. One offer, one pickup, configurations erased, freight paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Ruckus ICX models do you buy?

The ICX 7150 series (12, 24 and 48 port, PoE and non-PoE, the compact C08 and C12 models), the ICX 7250, the ICX 7450 (24 and 48 port, PoE, the 48F fiber model), the ICX 7550, the ICX 7650 and the ICX 7750 and 7850 aggregation switches. Older ICX 6450 and 6610 units are case by case, so send the list and we tell you what has an offer.

Do you buy a single ICX switch or only full stacks?

Both. One ICX 7150-48PF out of a closet is a normal purchase. So is a campus refresh of two hundred switches. Quantity affects the offer, not whether we make one.

Does the switch need its stacking cables, modules and power supplies?

No, but include them. Stacking cables, the 10 gigabit and 40 gigabit uplink modules, the second power supply on a 7450 or 7550, and the fans all add to the offer and all resell. If you have a bag of spare modules, send that count too.

What about the switch configuration?

Reset the configuration before handoff if your policy requires it, or leave it and we erase it before resale. Every switch is factory reset and tested before it is sold again.

Do you buy ICX switches that are still under a Ruckus support contract?

Yes. Hardware is bought regardless of support status. Tell us whether the units are registered to your account so the buyer can transfer or re-register them.

Our switches are at a school or a branch office, not a data center. Does that matter?

No. Most ICX switches we buy come from K-12 schools, universities, hospitals and office buildings, often one or two closets at a time. We pick up from any site, and a rep palletizes and wraps on arrival.

Do you buy Ruckus switches from outside the United States?

Yes. IO South buys from businesses across the United States and from sites worldwide. Send the location with your list and we include freight in the plan.

Do you also sell Ruckus ICX switches?

Yes. IO South stocks tested used and new Ruckus ICX switches. Browse Ruckus ICX switches, the ICX 7150, ICX 7450 and ICX 7550 pages for current stock.
