IO South buys used Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches from offices, schools, hospitals, campuses and data centers across the United States and worldwide: the Catalyst 9200 and 9300 access switches that make up most of the market, the modular Catalyst 9400, and the Catalyst 9500 and 9600 core and aggregation switches. We are the buyer, not a broker. We resell Catalyst switches every week, so we know what a stack of 9300-48P units with their network modules is worth this week and can make a real offer quickly, with or without an active subscription.
Catalyst 9000 hardware is sold with a Cisco DNA or Cisco Networking subscription tied to the original purchase, and sellers often assume an expired subscription makes the switch unsellable. It does not. We buy the hardware regardless of subscription status, and the next owner arranges their own licensing. What we ask is that you tell us whether the units are still registered to your Smart Account and, if your policy requires it, remove them before handoff. The configuration is erased before resale either way.
A handful of model numbers make up most of what we buy: the C9300-48P and C9300-24P, the C9300-48U and 48UXM, the C9200L-48P-4G and C9200L-24P-4G, and the C9500-16X and 9500-48Y4C in the core. If your closets hold any of those, you have something with a ready buyer. Send the full model string from the label, because the suffix tells us the port count, PoE class and uplink type, and those decide the offer.
A 9300 stack resells well when it comes with its StackWise cables and the network modules installed, and a switch with both power supplies is worth more than the same switch with one. Leave the modules in the chassis until our rep arrives, or bag them per switch. Spare optics and modules count too. If the same refresh retires Nexus or UCS gear, see sell used Cisco networking equipment and put everything on one list.
Offices, schools and universities, hospitals, government sites and data centers that are refreshing to newer Catalyst switches or consolidating sites. IO South has offices in Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio, and buys from the United States and worldwide. A refresh is a project, not a pickup: we plan the sequence, label and palletize on site, arrange freight, and keep a record of what left the building.
IO South is an established enterprise IT hardware company that buys and resells Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching, Aruba, Ruckus and Fortinet networking, and HPE, Dell and Supermicro servers every day. Catalyst switches move through our Marietta, Georgia and Cincinnati, Ohio facilities constantly, which is why we can tell you what a 9300 stack or a 9500 core pair is worth this week and stand behind the number. One offer, one pickup, configurations erased, freight paid.

No. The hardware is bought regardless of subscription status. Catalyst 9000 switches ship with a subscription tied to the original purchase, and the buyer arranges their own licensing, so we only ask you to tell us whether the units are still registered to your Smart Account.
Both. One 9300-48P from a closet is a normal purchase. So is a campus refresh of several hundred switches. Quantity affects the offer, not whether we make one.
Yes. The 9300 network modules (C9300-NM-8X, NM-2Q, NM-4M and the others), StackWise cables and StackPower cables, and the second power supply all add to the offer and all resell. Leave them installed until our rep arrives, or bag them per switch.
Erase the configuration and remove the devices from your Smart Account before handoff if your policy requires it, or leave it and we erase the configuration before resale. Every switch is factory reset and tested before it is sold again.
